Vacuum Glass for Timber Windows & Doors in Cambridgeshire & Suffolk
Vacuum glass delivers modern thermal efficiency in a profile slim enough for period properties and heritage joinery.
Ultra-slim glazing with exceptional thermal performance
If you need high-performance glazing without the bulk of conventional double or triple glazing, vacuum glass offers an outstanding solution.
It combines excellent insulation, acoustic performance and minimal thickness, making it one of the most versatile glazing options available for both traditional and contemporary joinery.

Designed To Fit
HIGH PERFORMANCE, MINIMAL THICKNESS
Selecting Superior Insulation
Vacuum glass consists of two panes of glass separated by a microscopic vacuum gap. With no air or gas between the panes, heat transfer is dramatically reduced, delivering insulation levels that rival conventional double glazing at a fraction of the thickness. The result is a glazing unit that is thinner, lighter and better suited to fine joinery detailing than traditional sealed units. The high performance seal is ideal for retrofitting heritage or historic buildings where slim profiles are needed.
HIGH PERFORMANCE AND AESTHETICS
Vacuum Glazing For Windows And Doors
Vacuum glazing is particularly well suited to projects where slim sightlines, fine glazing bars or traditional proportions must be preserved, offering an ultra-slim profile that is ideal for heritage timber frames, excellent thermal insulation with low U-values, improved energy efficiency and year-round comfort, reduced heat loss and lower energy bills, and a significantly slimmer unit than standard double glazing. It allows us to substantially improve thermal performance without altering the appearance or character of the joinery.
Slim and durable
High Performance Glazing
Despite its slim profile, vacuum glass delivers measurable thermal and acoustic results, including centre pane U-values as low as 0.4 W/m²K, acoustic reduction of up to 36-40dB, and thermal performance comparable to standard double or triple glazing, all while significantly reducing heat loss and improving internal comfort. This allows us to upgrade existing windows without increasing frame thickness or altering original proportions, making it a particularly valuable solution for period and conservation properties.
HERITAGE & CONSERVATION
Listed Buildings & Conservation Areas
For listed buildings and conservation projects, preserving the original character of timber windows is often a planning requirement. Conventional double glazing is frequently too thick, altering glazing bar proportions and disrupting the visual integrity of historic frames. Vacuum glass provides a technically sound and aesthetically appropriate solution, offering modern thermal performance while retaining the fine detailing associated with traditional joinery.
HIGH PERFORMANCE GLAZING
Aesthetically Energy Efficient
Vacuum glazing substantially improves thermal performance over single glazing and can match or exceed the efficiency of standard double glazing, while remaining far slimmer. By reducing heat loss, it creates a more comfortable internal environment and supports improved energy efficiency across the property. For many heritage and bespoke joinery projects, vacuum glass offers the most effective balance of performance, aesthetics and practicality.
